I expected to get a subtraction for my contributions for Virginia College America 529 contrbutions but my refund didn't grow when I entered my contributions. Any ideas?
There are a variety of explanations, but often this occurs when a taxpayer is already receiving the maximum refund without the additional deduction. Please review your numbers to see if that's your situation.
