Single member LLC w/1099 and W-2 income. Spouse has sole proprietorship 1099 and W-2 income. Can we use the "same Turbotax self employed" as separate schedule C income?

We would like to file married and joint. I use QuickBooks Self Employed for my single member  LLC and 1099 tracking. My wife just started a Sole Proprietorship, but she will need to track inventory and we are looking at which QuickBooks product to use for her. Regardless, she will also have 1099. We both have fulltime jobs and will get W-2s. Can we use one instance of TurboTax Self Employed and import my Schedule C from QuickBooks Self Employed as well as my wife's QuickBooks Schedule C details into one Turbo Tax Self Employed..?

Yes, you will file one joint tax return and use only one SE  program can complete multiple Sch Cs where the QB info can be imported for both.   I

And if you have one QB program it can be used for mulitple businesses ... you do  NOT need multiple copies of that program.

So I should purchase TurboTax Self Employed and do our taxes on that, import her QB details for Schedule C and then also import my details from QB Self Employed for Schedule C?

I think you will have  issues if you &  the the wife are not using the same version of QB ... I am sure you cannot  each use the same online SE QB version so you would have to pay for 2 online rentals.   You really should be using one copy of the QB regular version as it would cost less and be good for multiple businesses and tax years.

Since the QB SE is a new product you really should talk to TT support for exact directions ...
