Deductions & credits
If you are on the Deductions & Credits page, you may need to scroll down and select See all tax breaks. (Click the first screenshot below for reference.) Then you'll be able to scroll down under All tax breaks, locate Medical, and click Show more. (Click the second and third screenshots for reference.) Click Start next to Medical Expenses and follow the onscreen instructions.
Another way to get to Medical Expenses in TurboTax Online is by using the Topic Search:
- Continue working on your return in TurboTax Online. (If your return isn't open, you'll need to sign in, click Take me to my return, then click Pick up where I left off.)
- Click My Account (top right of your screen).
- Select Tools.
- In the pop-up window, select Topic Search.
- In the search bar, type medical expenses.
- In the results box, highlight medical expenses, sch a, then click GO.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to completion.
