I made a donation in 2018 but the charity didn't receive proceeds until January 2019? I have a 1098-C but it says 2019. Can I apply it to 2018 or must I wait until 2019?
Unfortunately, you have to wait until 2019 taxes. The IRS regulations are pretty clear that your donation is deductible upon physical receipt of the donation.
