Tax Year Prior to 2020: On my 1098 there is no amount listed in box 10 but an attached document states we paid $2,317.79 in real estate taxes paid. do I list this amount on my return?
Yes. That is the amount your mortgage company disbursed from
your escrow account. You can deduct it even though it isn't in the
correct spot on the Form 1098.
