How do I claim my 250.00 Frontline workers rebate. I received a 1099-g

Louisiana did have a program where they were offering $250 Covid-19 rebates for frontline workers if specific requirements were met.  Please see the link below for more information.

Here is how to enter Form 1099-G:

 

To enter a 1099-G, follow these steps:

  • Under the Federal menu, choose Wages & Income
  • If the 1099-G was for unemployment, expand the menu for Unemployment
  • Click Start/Revisit next to Unemployment and paid family leave
  • Enter the information on the screens that follow
  • If the 1099-G was for a state or local tax refund of other payment, expand the menu for Other Common Income
  • Click Start/Revisit next to the applicable category
  • Enter the information on the screens that follow

You should choose the first choice, Taxable Grant. That is how the Frontline Workers COVID-19 Hazard Pay Rebate would be classified.
