Deductions & credits
It's safest to check your property tax bill to determine the amount you paid. If you received a 1098 for your mortgage interest, it is often (but not always) listed on that form. You could also contact your local tax collector's office to determine the amount you paid.

Deductions & credits
You enter the amount of real estate tax that you actually paid to the taxing authority during the year. If you pay your real estate tax through an escrow account with your mortgage, you enter the amount that the lender paid. Lenders usually show the amount of real estate tax paid on the Form 1098 or on a separate statement.
