Health Insurance Premium Deduction
My husband is a > 2 percent shareholder in an S corp, and I will soon be receiving a 1099 for my work. We are currently on my employer's plan, but will be losing that soon. His company does have a plan, but it will be very expensive for our family. We are looking into getting a plan in the marketplace. Will I be able to deduct the health insurance premium since I will be self-employed? Or, are we out of luck since his company does offer a plan?

Deductions & credits
You are out of luck ... if you have access to a subsidized plan thru an employer you cannot take the deduction.
