I was convicted of drug felony when was a minor in Ohio. It as over 20 years ago. Does this disqualify me for the American opportunity credit?

Deductions & credits
The IRS states that you are not eligible if you have had a felony drug conviction. I cannot find any exception for a felony imposed while a minor.
