if your return is being reviewed, we have no way in determining when your return will be processed.

We received your return and it may require further review. This may result in your New York State return taking longer to process than your federal return. No further information is available at this time.

There is something in your NY state return that may require additional scrutiny. You might wish to contact NY Dept of Revenue for additional information about the delay as we don't have any information on this.

Mine has now said that for 5 weeks and no change. The customer service line gives no information. Very frustrating. Either ask me for information that you need, or process it.

NY state has stated an average of 4 weeks for a refund is expected. They seem to be off to a slow start.

Mine says The exact same thing it’s under review and may take longer than my federal tax refund I called and got nowhere don’t they have to give you interest if they hold onto your money too long? my friend filed a week later after me has the same amount of kids works for the government like I do and she got hers back last Friday I don’t understand it. I filed February 8 2020. My daughter works at McDonald’s in owed three dollars they cash that within a day My daughter works at McDonald’s in owed three dollars they cashed that within a day

If your refund is held a long time, they will pay interest. A few months is nothing to the government. Don't expect interest.

My NY state refund was accepted on Feb 1. I don't remember exactly when I checked the status online but till date it shows the same message - It may need further review and hence could take more time. No further information is available. The helpline spurts out the same message only you hear it instead of seeing it on a screen. Really frustrating! At least make more information available if not the funds.

I filed the day IRS started excepting returns..

Here it is March 18,2020

I finally called talked to a real person...

She says what it says...

DON'T BOTHER CALLING...

They will only read back what it says...

What the F is going on ?

This is Ridiculous !

I know this must be frustrating but you are at the mercy of the NYS bureaucracy. At this point, if you are asking us to intervene to find out what is going on then this is impossible for us to do as we are not legal representatives that can act on your behalf.
