State tax filing

Sometimes, but not for a lot of people.

If you had insurance through Obamacare and did not get enough Advance Premium Tax Credit based on your final income then you may qualify for a Credit. This will show on line 72 of Schedule 5.

If you received too much of the Advanced Premium Tax Credit, you may have to repay some of it.

If you are itemizing, then you can take a deduction for insurance premiums paid as a medical expense.  Only your total medical expenses greater than 7.5% of your AGI will count towards your itemized expenses.

If you are self-employed, it is possible that you can get a deduction, depending on your profit.
