I worked in MD, and I lived in PA. I had only PA taxes withheld on my W-2. Should I file MD state return file?
I live in PA and worked in MD for 4 months (part-time job). Box 15 "State" on W-2 indicates PA and box 17 "State income tax" is blank. Should I MD state file?

State tax filing
No, you only have to file a PA tax return because that is where you live and Maryland is what is called a reciprocal state.
A reciprocal agreement, also called reciprocity, is an agreement between two states that allows residents of one state to request exemption from tax withholding in the other (reciprocal) state. This can save you the trouble of having to file multiple state returns.
