My employee moved from CA to NV permanently. She only receives W2 compensation from me in CA, but she does the work remotely from home in NV. Is she taxed in CA?

State tax filing

The income earned while living and working in NV is not taxed by CA.

The state portion at the bottom the W-2 should say CA and have only the wages earned for CA listed there, while box 1 at top will have wages for the year.

No .. CA does not tax tele-commutors.
