Yes. School taxes are deductible if they're based on the assessed value of the property. Add your school taxes to any other real estate taxes you've paid and enter the total into TurboTax in the Deductions & Credits section as follows:
- Open (continue) your tax return.
- In the search box, search for the exact phrase real estate, taxes (include the comma and space) and then click the "Jump to" link in the search results.
- Answer Yes to the question Did you pay any property taxes?
- Enter your real estate taxes, including school taxes on the next screen.
