I owed the state of Illinois for taxes for 2 years I didn't file. they took my federal return. I filed the 2 years, they now owe me. How do I get that money refunded?
They were going to file a lien against me but I never filed so the numbers that I owed were way off. They then took more from me than I owed. How do I get that refunded back to me?

After you file
If you have now filed it should create an over payment on your account which would be automatically refunded. If that's not happening, you need to contact the Illinois Department of Revenue. See http://www.revenue.state.il.us/AboutIdor/contactus.htm for Illinois contact information.
