Is there a way to work around needing my 2017 return? I filed by mail last year and the old return is in storage, one of my info has change in 3 years..

I filed by mail last year and it took 6 months to receive my refund.  The old return is in storage so I can't get to it, but, none of my info has changed in over 3 years, not my address, phone, bank acct, employer, etc...so I don't understand the need for the added verification, or forcing me to file by mail, especially since I have already paid to have it e-filed...

You can get a free online transcript of your 2017 tax return from the IRS which will include your 2017 AGI amount on it.  Here is the direct link: IRS Get Transcript
