Why does TT ask for name, SSN, and DOB when filling for federal extension when logged in?

Should it not pull directly from your account?

The Turbotax extension filing does not use information from your TurboTax account.

At least some versions of the program allow the preparation of multiple returns so the program has to know what tax payer is actually filing
