Where do I enter unemployment benefits

Get your taxes done using TurboTax

There are at least (3) ways you can get there in the TurboTax program.

First, you will find it if you go through the entirety of the regular taxpayer interview; it is presented as one of the various income options.

Second, you can navigate there through the TurboTax tab / menu system by following the pathway:  Federal Taxes -> Wages & Income -> Unemployment

Third, you can get there directly.  Simply have your TurboTax tax return open and be working anywhere on it.  Locate the Find / Search box on your screen, and type in the exact search words "unemployment compensation" and click the button.  A Jump To link should appear directly underneath in the search results.  Click on that link, and you'll be taken directly to the unemployment compensation main data entry interview (please see the screen-image below for visual guide; simply click to open the picture).

At least one of those methods should work for you.  Any data on unemployment you enter on the federal side of the TurboTax program should automatically carry over to your TurboTax state program as well (if applicable).

Thank you for asking this question.
