I checked my transcript and my cycle date is 2/25 but I’m not sure if that’s right.

Mama2Many even if you were accepted on 1/28, if you had the EIC or such they couldn't process it til 2/15 so people accepted on 1/28 without EIC will get their refund before you. I'm trying to figure out the transcript codes and what they actually mean. The website corresponds to what the cycle code sort of means, but it doesnt really explain when your refund is going to be released. Some people say the processing date is when your return will be processed by. My processing date is 2/25. So I dont know if that means my DD will be released on this Friday or not. Everything I read seems to be theories as the IRS doesn't give an iron clad date as to when refunds are given, just basic timeframes. Filing before 2/15 when you claim EIC doesnt mean you will get refund in less than 21 days. It just means they cant even start processing any EIC before 2/15. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the Santa Barbara bank has my refund Saturday. Then hopefully I'll have by this time next week.

Where's My Refund? ?on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app will be updated February 23 for the vast majority of early filers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on Where's My Refund? or through their software packages until then. The IRS, tax preparers and tax software will not have additional information on refund dates, so Where’s My Refund? remains the best way to check the status of a refund. Where’s My Refund? is only updated once daily, usually overnight, so checking it more often will not produce new or different results.
