Alabama Schedule ARA is a credit schedule for the Alabama Port Credit and/or the Growing Alabama credit.  If neither of these are applicable to you, please go back through the Alabama "Taxes and Credits" screens.  Go through the credit screens until you see the Alabama Renewal  Act, and clear any previous entries made here.

I entered 0.00 for contributions and X box for no carryover and I still get the Schedule ARA with extraneous information, and requirement for Al chamber of Commerce form for a non existent project

OK, try this:

*** Online ***

1. go to Tax Tools (on the left), and navigate to Tools->Delete a form

(note that you will have to scroll down to get to the state forms)

2. delete form(s) Form "AL Sch ARA, AL" (or whatever is closest to that).

If Schedule OC is not relevant to your personal taxes and it keeps you from completing your Al. State Tax Form, then go to the top right of Turbotax form under FORMS, click on it and scroll to find Schedule OC...once there, go to bottom of screen to click on DELETE FORM    and it will delete that form that you do not require and you can finish your state taxes.  I found this out by just doing it myself.  Hope this helps.
