My employer erroneously paid tax to a state I did not live or work in

When I moved, my employer  did not change my resident state until 4 months after the fact. I already filed my federal return. Can I add another state return to get the taxes paid to another state back?

Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Yes, if you had erroneous state tax withholding, you must file a nonresident tax return for that state and indicate zero (0) state source income to get the refund.
