Thank you so much to everyone who participated! We appreciate you sharing your experiences with our community. A winner will be randomly selected and contacted to claim their prize.

Welcome to our new and returning community members!

We’re very excited to share another sweepstakes and chance to win a $100 gift card with you. This month, we’re discussing Tax Due, Penalties, and Refunds

Tax Day is less than 2 weeks away!  And you may have just let out a big sigh of relief knowing you’ve got your filing out of the way OR,  if you’re anything like me, you’ve been avoiding this moment until now because you’ve worked multiple jobs, have a pile of 1099’s that waited for and a year’s worth of bank statements to comb through so you can make the most of your deductions.  You may be unsure whether you’ll owe or not and the anticipation of filing may seem to be more anxiety inducing than anything.

It’s okay!  Breathe. We’re here to help.  And fretting about the future oftentimes can be the major thing that prevents us from starting!  Much to our shock, most of the time things work out.  Not only that, but sometimes they turn out even better than we’ve anticipated.  We want to hear about a time where you really worried about a thing where you actually ended up being pleasantly surprised by the results.  Submit your response to be entered into our monthly drawing for a $100 gift card and who knows? Maybe we’ll be surprising you!

A winner will be randomly selected from this thread on April 23rd, 2025.  Plus! If you have any last minute questions about Tax Due, Penalties, and Refunds, please check out this blog post and join us for a LIVE Q&A on  Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 any time between 9:00am and 5:00pm Pacific Time to ask Tax and Financial Experts  your questions and get advice about taxes and personal finance, for free! Learn more and RSVP here.

Wow, I love using TurboTax Premium to review everything, and the extra help along the way is perfect.  This year it was great to learn that auto insurance medical cost could be added to health care premiums.

Earlier tonight I spoke with one of your representatives named Barbara.  I just wanted you to know that she was just great.  She was pleasant, patient and very friendly. She really put me at ease and solved my problem very quickly. Just wanted you to know that. Thank You!!!!

a great example of a time where I thought things were going one way and I ended up being pleasantly surprised by the outcome literally happened to me within the past 24 hours, with the latest tax filing. I thought I had way more federal tax due than I should. Turns out, as I suspected, my income was being double counted. I went to your community site and found my answer here:

Thank you! (I realize the answer dates back to 2019, but the guiding principal is the same.)

exactly.

you guys are misleadingly charing 45$ for premium service, which is nothing but auto debit from refunds, i could have easily paid it using credit card and saved 45$ this is absurd. wud love to get this refunded, had to file it in hurry ,I didn't google. Note that i didn't buy neither the live services nor the Audit Defense.

definately surprised but not pleasently 😛 image.pngimage.pngimage.png

I thought that I was going to owe and or not get that much back but TurboTax totally shocked me and helped me get my maximum amount refund back. I will only use TurboTax no other tax place EVER. I have used H&R block but they are rated a 0. TURBOTAX RATED 100. That's my experience and I'm happy with it!! Thank you Trubotax you are greatly appreciated!! And I'm very Thankful for you Trubotax!!

I wasn't "pleasantly" surprised... But definitely surprised. Separated. 2 households but still legally married. According to TurboTax I was getting a refund. But still trying to figure out where it went wrong/what wasn't right as I ended up having to pay!
