I am separated as of October 2022. I am trying to file only my taxes now. It keeps asking me for my partners income but how can I only process my taxes?

I chose the option to file separately already but it continues to ask for my partners information after it has already been changed to separated.

If you are married, you will need to provide your spouse/partner’s information even if you are preparing your returns separately. The info is needed for a number of reasons, like eligibility for certain credits or deductions, handling property you own together, etc…

If you don't know your spouse/partner's income, you can enter an estimate for now, and then put in the actual number before you file.
