Where do I enter parking fees on a self employed return?
To enter your parking fees:
If you have not set up your company information:
- Go to Tax Tools > Tools > Topic Search
- Type parking fees and tolls, self-employed business in the search box and then click Go.
- If you have not set up your business, answer Yes to Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?
- Continue through the interview to enter your business information.
- When you get to the Let's Review Your Work Info screen, make sure everything is correct and then click Looks Good
- On the Let's get income for work screen, select the type of income you want to enter and click Continue.
- Proceed through the rest of the interview to enter your income.
- When you get to the What kind of expenses did you have screen, scroll down to select Vehicle and then click Continue.
- On the next page, scroll down to the Expenses section and click Start next to Vehicle.
- Continue through the interview until you get to the Before we wrap up, did you have any of these expenses for this Vehicle? page
- You can enter your parking fees on this screen.
If you have already set up your company:
- Go to Tax Tools > Tools > Topic Search
- Type parking fees and tolls, self-employed business in the search box and then click Go.
- Click Edit next to your Line of work
- Scroll down to the Expenses section and click Start next to Vehicles
- Continue through the interview until you get to the Before we wrap up, did you have any of these expenses for this Vehicle? page
- You can enter your parking fees on this screen.
