Can someone help us with the Detroit residency section? Neither one of us have ever lived in Detroit.

When you file your State of Michigan return your Detroit City tax return will be automatically e-filed with the State of Michigan forms. 

The City of Detroit Forms are added in TurboTax Online when you reach the State of Michigan interview. Please follow the steps below to populate the Detroit City tax return. 

• Sign into your Online account and select Take me to my return
• Select State in the left side panel and continue
• Next select the State of Michigan tax return
• Continue through the tax interview until you see the question Which cities did you live or work in?. 
• Check the box that says I need a Detroit City return. This will trigger the Detroit City questions, continue through the interview to complete your tax return.
