different taxpayers have different filing requirements. a "complete list" of every thing possible that a taxpayer might need would probably take several weeks to read.
And you should always start by getting out a copy of your last year's return to use as a guide so you don't forget to enter some income or deductions.

Since you are working on a 2017 return, be aware that it cannot be e-filed. So when it asks for your 2016 AGI it will not matter. Your 2017 return has to be printed, signed and mailed.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return.
