Should I file an extension if I do not owe taxes for State and Federal?

Technically, if you are getting a refund, you do not need to file an extension.  However, it is recommended just as a precaution in case something changes and you end up owing or your State requires an extension.

Filing an extension only takes a few minutes, and it's free.  Click here for instructions:  How do I file an Extension using TurboTax?
