If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
For a fee of $30 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf
Even if you had a PDF of your 2022 tax return, you could not transfer the information into 2023 TurboTax. You can only transfer information from the .tax2022 data file, not from a PDF. So you will have to start your 2023 tax return as if you did not use TurboTax for 2022, and enter everything manually.
In the future, keep backup copies of the .tax20yy file and the PDF of your tax return on a removable storage device such as a USB flash drive, or in an online backup. When you use the desktop TurboTax software, you are responsible for backing up your files.
Thank you to DoninGA and rjs, for helping me to understand my big mistake not promptly making an offline, off desktop computer copy of my .tax2022 data files and a .pdf copy also, onto a USB Flash drive or external hard drive, or saved Cloud copy. Thank you also, for several possible solutions to get the lost data, using the two IRS websites listed.
