If you are a US resident located in the US then the time to file for a 2018 extension has passed.  The extension had to be filed on or before April 15, 2019

However, if you live in Massachusetts or Maine, it is not too late because today, April 17, is your federal filing deadline.

You can also file for state extension in any state with a deadline beyond April 15, 2019, of which there are several.
