I submitted my IRS extension yesterday (day of the deadline), along with an estimated payment. I got a rejection email but want to know if the payment was also rejected?

No - If your extension is rejected, the payment is not processed.

Please see this FAQ for steps to correct your rejected extension:

Thank you for the quick answer. However, in the rejection email I did not receive an orange Fix My Extension link. Trying it again in Turbotax tells me it's not allowed since it's now past the deadline. How do fix this?

Print a copy of Form 4868, fill it out, and mail it in with a copy of the extension rejection e-mail. Click this link to get the form: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf You can include a check with the extension form or (better) make the payment on the IRS website: https://www.irs.gov/payments
