I purchased turbotax cd for 2017 tax filing but still haven't filed yet. Can I still use the cd for 2017 tax filing?

Yes. you can use the 2017 desktop software you purchased to prepare your 2017 return. In fact, that is what you have to use.  Online preparation and e-filing for 2017 are both permanently closed.  You will need to print, sign and mail your 2017 return.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS and/or your state received the return.
