I am filing my IA state taxes, while filing it says my return is $578 but when I go to finalize and submit it is $0. I had 6 months residecy in IA.

Check to make sure you haven't applied your refund to 2025.

1. Go back to Your State Returns and click Update next to Iowa.

2. Click Continue until you get to a summary screen that says You've Finished Your Iowa Return.

3. Click Update next to the last option that says Your Iowa Bottom Line.

4. Click Continue until you see a screen that says Apply Refund to Your 2025 Taxes? Make sure the No thanks box is checked.

5. Run your review again and try to finalize your return.
