How do I skip filing my 1095-A on my return? I do not have health insurance, never have. I should not have to file a 1095-A yet it keeps getting rejected for that reason

I never have insured myself. The irs keeps rejecting my file because I haven't filled out a 1095-A. I cant give them information I dont have, how do we fix this

Even if you didn't have health insurance through the marketplace, if someone in your household did and the form isn't included then, the IRS will reject your return. You can go to HealthCare.gov or your state's Marketplace, to make sure that no one had coverage during 2024.

If no one in your family had health insurance through the marketplace, you can certify this in TurboTax by following the steps below:

  1. Open your return
  2. Go to the Did you receive Form 1095-A for your health insurance plan?
  3. When it asks to enter Form 1095-A select No

Once you do this, you will be able to e-file your return.

How do I fix e-file reject F8962-070?
