My husband and I live in PA. My husband was on disability, but passed away in May. How should I file this year's taxes and what all should I include?

My condolences to you on your loss. Please see the following links that I hope you will find useful for filing your taxes for this year: https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/how-to-file-a-final-tax-return-for-someone-who-has-passed-away and https://blog.turbotax.intuit.com/tax-planning-2/tax-implications-for-taxpayers-who-have-lost-a-spous...
Sorry for your loss. My husband died in 2023. You can file a Joint return the year your spouse died as normal. For the next two years following a husband's or wife's death, the surviving spouse can file as a qualifying widow or widower if they have a qualifying child. That basically lets you continue to use the same tax brackets that apply to married-filing-jointly returns. After the year of death if you don't have a child you file as Single. And then next year start over with a new return and new account.
