Filed 2016 as Self-Employed. 2017 was not self -employed. Why is Turbo Tax trying to charge me as a self-employed, when I'm not in 2017?

When you started your return the program automatically choose the same version as last year ... it was up to you to change it at that time ... to change it now requires you to start over again and choose the lower priced version ...

You can downgrade using the Clear and Start Over feature but bear in mind that the different TurboTax "flavors" handle different tax situations and their associated forms.
