Do I have to pay the 169.00 dollars to file before I see if I’m approved for the advance?

First of all----there are no advance loans at this time, and we do not even know for sure whether the advance loans will be available for 2024 tax returns--or what the criteria will be for getting the loans.

TurboTax does not have any refund advance loans at this time.  For the past several tax seasons, there have been refund advance loans during January and February.  Those loans had to be offered to you, and no money was issued until the IRS accepted the user’s e-file.
