My turbo tax return triggered an audit due to a large refund. I am 79 years old. my return did not tax my Roth IRA, is that accurate??

The IRS is asking for additional information when there is a large amount withheld. Your Roth withdrawal would not be taxed. Follow the IRS instructions.
