Amended return status

Hello! I have been a J1 worker in US last summer. I have applied for a tax refund based on my W-2 form in January. However I did not get my refund, while all my friends got it in 2 weeks.
In March I have filed an amended tax return, correcting the mistake from the 1st time, when I mentioned that I was a student in US, however I am not.

I received my state tax refund before filling the amended one. However I didn’t get my federal refund. It’s been 4 months waiting.

Do you think I will get my federal tax refund? What should I do in this situation?
