Filed return for 2022. Needed to open .tax2022 file. TurboTax says its needs an update (for what?) to view my document. I find out later that this 4/27/2023 update has borked my copy of TT. It requests I reactivate even after I had already activated when I bought my copy... now my code no longer works.
I checked out my copy of 2021 same issue. A recent update causes it to lose its activation license.
No matter how many times I try to activate it, nothing works. I cannot access any of my records.
Before you ask...
1) the codes are correct and have been verified by TT reps
2) I am connected to the internet
3) I typed the codes correctly.
4) tried uninstall and re-install - nothing
5) I disabled the firewall...nothing
If TT is hellbent on activating...get someone to program it correctly and please stop the incessant updates. If its not necessary it should be optional. TT is not a daily driver. People use it a couple times and file and never use it again UNLESS they need to open some old returns.
The online version can't talk to the desktop version. I should be able to drag and drop and return into the online version and view it, and vice versa.
Do better Intuit!
