2022 TT SS Benefits Worksheet. I entered line A and B correctly. Line 1 Add amounts. When I do in Excel the answer does not match TT answer but matches what IRS says is correct.

You should not use the worksheet on the back of the SSA-1099 or Form 703. It can be complicated to figure out even though it looks simple. Turbo Tax figures it all out for you.
When you enter 1/2 of your ss on line B it is not being subtracted from anything. It is being ADDED to ALL your other income to see if any of the ss will be taxable to you.
To see the Social Security Benefits Calculation Worksheet in Turbo Tax Online version you would have to save your return with all the worksheets to your computer. Or if you are using the Desktop CD/Download Software you can switch to Forms Mode (click Forms in the upper right) and click on SS in the list on the right side.
Up to 85% of Social Security becomes taxable when all your other income plus 1/2 your social security, reaches:
Married Filing Jointly: $32,000
Single or head of household: $25,000
Married Filing Separately: 0
If the IRS changed the taxable amount they must have increased some other income which will make more if your SS taxable.
What is the exact amount in box 5 of your Form SSA-1099?
What is the exact amount on line A of the Social Security Benefits Worksheet, in the Taxpayer column?
If you are filing as married filing jointly, what is the exact amount in box 5 of your spouse's Form SSA-1099, and what is the exact amount on line A of the Social Security Benefits Worksheet in the Spouse column?
What is the exact amount on line 1 of the Social Security Benefits Worksheet?
On the Social Security Benefits Worksheet, line B has nothing to do with the amount on line 1. Line 1 is the sum of the amounts on lines A and F.
What do you mean by "what IRS says is correct"? It's not clear what "answer" you are referring to. Where did the IRS say that a particular "answer" was correct? Did you get a notice from the IRS saying that there is an error on your 2022 tax return? What exactly did they say was wrong, and what did they change it to?
You said you entered lines A and B on the Social Security Benefits Worksheet. Are you filling out the worksheet in forms mode? That can lead to errors. You should use the Step-by-Step interview to enter your Form SSA-1099.
