Update not letting me file

I finished my return 2 weeks ago, but I cannot efile because I keep getting this message:

"We're updating employee credits for small businesses and farms. We should have this ready by 02/21/2024--please check with us then.."

2/21 is what the date says now, but it keeps extending. I think the first one was 02/12/2024. I am beginning to think this is not going to get done or I have an error on my return. Is there a way around this?

No, if your tax return requires the form, it has to be e-filed with your return.  Rest assured, it will be ready soon enough; there are many people in need of this form.

Update not letting me file

This is a big deal.  My return is now held up as well.  It gives me a one-week time frame for completion.  This didn't happen last year.  I didn't take any Govt handouts....i just want to file my taxes so i can get my refund.

Just tried it again and it is now telling me to check back 2/26/2024.

The release dates for several forms were recently extended. The estimated date of release for Form 8881 is February 28, 2024. We recommend waiting until the day after, then updating TurboTax (if using Desktop), and run Review again.

You can confirm the release date of Form 8881 using this tool: Forms Availability Table.
