Timelines for quarterly filing

I am only moving onto a 1099 as of September, do I have file quarterly for Q3? Or can I just file once at end of year for both this month and Q4 at once?

Timelines for quarterly filing

So the fourth quarter begins September 1 and end on December 31, 2024.   The fourth quarter is four months, so it is actually more then a quarter of the year.   Any payment for Self-employment and income tax would be due on January 15, 2025.   The tax deadline itself is April 15, 2025.  So assuming you have net self-employment income for those four months you would want to make and estimated tax payment on or before January 15, 2025 and then file your tax return on or before April 15, 2025.
