Sales Tax Rates for CT-based Online Professional Services Consulting Company

Is there a listing of Sales Tax rates to be paid (or charged to clients) for online management consulting services across all 50 US States. For example, if my client is in NY and I work from CT then how much sales tax should I charge. Also, will it change if I offer the same online services in my own State of CT?

Thank you for joining us today!

Sales tax is an entirely different subject and can vary widely from state to state.  Here are some resources that may help you.  It may be best for you to reach out to the Connecticut Department of Revenue.  Many states have tools, resources, and webinars to help taxpayers meet their sales tax filing requirements.

Sales tax is beyond the scope of Turbo Tax though I have many clients that use Avalara, though this is no way is or should be construed as  endorsement of Avalara.

Sales tax rates vary across the US, and even within each state depending upon where you are located.  I am aware that Connecticut actually has a uniform sales and use tax of 6.35%.
