Wondering how we get your refund into your Credit Karma Money™ checking account?
When you choose to get your tax refund deposited into a Credit Karma Money checking or savings account, TurboTax works with Credit Karma and MVB Bank, Member FDIC, to get your account information to the IRS (and/or the State) so they can deposit your refund into your account. Also, after filing with TurboTax, you could get your refund up to 5 days early3 and can use the Credit Karma refund tracker to see when your federal refund is expected to hit your account.
Not expecting a refund?
Getting a Credit Karma Money checking or savings account still provides plenty of perks you can enjoy. With Credit Karma Money, you could receive your paycheck up to 2 days early, or federal government benefits up to 5 days early, with Early Payday.4
How does Early Payday work?
Setting up direct deposit in your Credit Karma Money checking or savings account automatically makes you eligible for Early Payday. Instead of waiting until your payday to deposit the funds, your funds are posted to your account as soon as they are received, which may be up to two days earlier than the standard payroll electronic deposit. (Note that it usually takes 1 to 2 pay cycles to switch your direct deposit to a new bank account.) For those with government benefits, you could get access to your funds up to 5 days early.
