Why am I getting a blank screen or an error on the Wages & Income screen?

Some TurboTax Desktop customers may be experiencing an issue/error when attempting to access the Wages & Income section of their tax returns. Some are seeing a blank screen while others are receiving an error message: "Hmm, looks like we've hit a snag - We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all your info's correct."

Make sure you are running TurboTax as an Administrator by following these steps:

  1. Right-click on the TurboTax icon and select Properties.
  2. Select the Compatibility tab.
  3. Select the checkbox beside Run this program as Administrator.
  4. Select Apply.
  5. Select OK.
  6. When you double-click to launch TurboTax, you'll now be prompted with a User Account Control asking Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? Select Yes every time.
