How do I add my Chase Bank 1099 forms in TurboTax CD/Download?

SOLVEDby TurboTax2Updated April 11, 2022

Unfortunately, there's an issue importing 1099 forms for Chase Bank account holders into TurboTax CD/Download that won’t be fixed until after tax day (April 18).

If you’re getting an error when trying to import from Chase Bank there are two ways to work around it.

1. Manually enter your forms

You can select the option to manually enter your form info from Chase Bank.

  1. Open your return in TurboTax.
  2. Select Federal Taxes, then Wages & Income.
  3. Select Start or Update next to the 1099 topic or form you want to work on (1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B, 1099-OID).
  4. When you get to the How do you want to enter your 1099 into your return? screen, select I’ll type it in myself and Continue.
  5. Enter the information from your form and Continue.
  6. Repeat steps 3–5 for any other Chase Bank 1099 forms you need to enter.

2. Switch over to TurboTax Online to import your forms

Chase Bank import is available in TurboTax Online. To switch over to TurboTax Online from CD/Download please see How do I switch from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Online?
