There are a few ways you can add your W-2 to your tax return in TurboTax:
Import it instantly from your employer
W-2s are released by different employers on different dates. You might have to wait until February for yours to be available for import.
Upload it from your computer
Snap a photo of it with your phone
Type it in manually
To import your W-2:
We need the Box 1 amount from your W-2 or the year-to-date (YTD) gross income from your year-end pay stub.
In some cases, we may need the Box d Control Number from your W-2, but only if your payroll provider requires it.
Select your TurboTax product and follow the steps to add your W-2.

If you still can’t provide a digital copy, you can always choose to type it in by hand or use the TurboTax mobile app to snap a photo.
