Microsoft will end free technical support and security updates for the Windows 10 operating system on October 14, 2025. Read this Microsoft article to learn more.
Because of this, TurboTax Desktop 2025 will only run on Windows 11 (64-bit). You won’t be able to use TurboTax Desktop 2025 on Windows 10. See this page for TurboTax Desktop 2025 system requirements.
If you’re still using Windows 10, you have two options to use TurboTax 2025:
Update to Windows 11, following the steps on the Microsoft website.
Use TurboTax Online instead. These instructions can help you switch from TurboTax Desktop to TurboTax Online.
