How do I amend my return to fix understated 2024 Hawaii Charitable Contributions?

Some Hawaii TurboTax customers might have overpaid their Hawaii tax liability due to a problem with their itemized deductions.
If we notified you, we recommend you review your return and, if needed, file an amended return. By filing an amended return, you’ll be able to get the money back in your pocket where it belongs!
To correct your return, please follow the steps below:
- Use TurboTax to amend your state tax return.
- Enter “TO CORRECT CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS” as the reason for amending.
- Follow the instructions provided by TurboTax to print, sign and date the amended state tax return. The amended return will need to be mailed to the address provided.
- Save a copy of your amended state tax return for your records.
