How do I amend my 2025 tax return to correct the Georgia SALT Limitation?
Due to a TurboTax error, some Georgia customers who paid more than $10,000 in state and local taxes (SALT) took excess Georgia itemized deductions. Although the federal government recently raised the SALT cap to $40,000, Georgia still limits the SALT cap to $10,000. As a result, affected taxpayers’ underpaid their Georgia state income taxes.
